I looooove hunting for treasure. I'm one of those people whose head snaps to the right as I pass a yardsale. I like reading yardsale ads to wind down my day. I've had copies of those folded up street maps made so I can highlight my treck through the city. I really can't wait until I can afford a GPS so it can tell me when I should turn right or left. I go through withdrawals in the winter. I salivate when I see the snow melting outside. I'll travel a hundred miles round trip to another state to go to a community yardsale.
Yes, sometimes I get very little for my troubles. But those days where I can pick up a snowblower for $5 or the time I got 30+ beer mirrors for 50 cents each, that's when I get the biggest thrill!
Saturday there's a rummage sale 50 feet from my store. OMG! I can hardly sleep. I hope I can talk them into bringing their leftovers to my thrift shop. The next best thing to yardsales is getting the leftovers!
